So stuff happened, I never got to posting things, then I lost creativity for a while 'cuz other stuff happened...anyway, here's a few things that should've made it on here sooner. More to come, I hope.
I want to paint more. This is the start of that resolve.
(I just looked at this small and noticed the white of the shirt and the grey of the BG are switched. oops)
This is the first portrait that i have done that bears a resemblance to the person that I was painting. I didn't actually time myself with this so i might have been a little longer than 30 min, but i am happy with the exercise.
What I learned:
Colored Pencil is a completely different beast than Digital Painting
Things that look simple aren't
It got better when I stopped trying to make it perfect
The important part should be the feel, not making it exactly like the original
Deviation really is ok.
Drawing with your potty-training toddler around makes it take longer, but at least the baby was taking a nap. :D
